Property Description Situated on just over 7 acres of forested land and water frontage of over 300’ of Ahmic Lake, this 4800+ sq. ft. cottage is a gem - a true Luxury Cottage. Privacy is assured – there are only 2 cottages on the road, and the boat traffic on is almost negligible. Ahmic Lake quietly boasts it is home to some of the more impressive properties around Muskoka and Parry Sound. The cottage is elevated and it is an easy walk to the beach and lake front.No cost was spared in the construction of this state of the art cottage. When you enter the foyer the first thing that captures your attention is the 23 foot high floor to ceiling expanse of windows and the magnificent view of the lake beyond. Next you notice the Brazilian Teak flooring, meticulously laid and cared for, setting off the 10 foot wide, 20 foot high solid Granite Rumford wood-burning fireplace, for which the stones were artfully hand cut and split. The Gourmet kitchen is nothing short of perfect and was designed with the professional cook in mind. It features rare Soapstone counter tops including the island and bar surfaces and the counter top in the Pantry, DCS appliances – 48 inch professional gas range (17,500 BTU’s) with 5 burners, 2 ovens and a large griddle surface, 30” DCS warming drawer, Sub Zero 36” stand alone fridge, 36” stand alone Freezer, stand alone ice maker, 2 Miele dishwashers, and a 30” Advantium Flash Bake/Microwave built in oven. In total, there are 3 sinks in the kitchen including the over sized soapstone sink. The smaller kitchen appliances include a coffee bean grinder, electric mixer, Cuisinart Food Processor, blender, slow cooker, counter top coffee machine, toaster and mini grill. The walk in Panty/Prep area just off the kitchen contains the Sub-Zero upright freezer, the Miele coffee centre for Espresso or Cappuccino, buffet and hutch with additional dishes and glassware and a view of the forest out the window. The dining area comfortably seats 12 at the extra large harvest table with easy access to the Muskoka Room and the large, outdoor deck. The screened Muskoka Room is huge and well appointed with Rattan Furnishings. What a great place to relax with that after dinner drink or morning Espresso. As to be expected, the view of the lake from here is amazing. The deck off the dining room and Muskoka room is very large – 55’ x 16’ L shaped and can be accessed through sliding doors equipped with screens to create a seamless indoor / outdoor environment for larger gatherings of family and friends. The deck is furnished with all the appropriate patio furnishings and lounge chairs. The deck is also where you’ll find the DCS outdoor propane BBQ which boasts the most advanced grilling system available and provides you with a 48 inch grilling surface, smoker and rotisserie. This kitchen will delight chefs and caterers who expect the best. The Media Room is well equipped with a Home Theatre 52” Sony Projection LCD screen with digital surround sound, and a superb high end audio system that fills the cottage with the music you love, CD or your iPod. The master bedroom is also on the main floor and features a king size bed, large walk-in closet and a spectacular en-suite bathroom. The en-suite has double sinks, a 6’ Jacuzzi Tub, tile shower with rain head – and all appliances are top of the line. There is also a 2 piece powder room on the main floor. All bathrooms have Granite counter tops. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs – one is aptly named ‘Forest’ and the other ‘Lake’, and a large 4 piece bathroom with a 6’ 'soaker ' tub and marble tiling. The views from these bedrooms will entice you to sleep less and look more. The main feature however of the second floor is the spectacular loft. Here you have the Billiards Loft with of course, the Billiards Table, comfortable leather seating, a good selection of games, a view of the Great Room and a lovely view of the lake through the floor to ceiling windows in the Great Room. Even the structure of the timbers on the 23’ ceiling is a work of art worth studying..... On the walk-out level there are 2 more bedrooms – known as the ‘East’ and ‘West’ bedrooms. The ‘West’ bedroom has sliding glass doors to the deck and an electric fireplace in the corner. Cozy!! Also on this level is the laundry room complete with Whirlpool front loading washing machine and dryer. There is also a beverage refrigerator with freezer in the cantina. This Ahmic Lake cottage rental comes fully equipped including all bed and bath linens, the pillows are all down filled so bring your own if you have allergies. What you don’t notice is the built in quality such as the ‘oak peg’ post and beam construction - not a single nail was used in these logs. The recessed lighting and dimmer switches add to the ease of lighting in the evening to obtain the perfect ambiance. Casement windows throughout make it a breeze to enjoy the fresh air. In case of a power outage there is an automatic generator – it comes on and switches off as required – no need for you to do anything at all. This is lake living at its' finest The waterfront has a sandy beach area ideal for ‘walk-in’ swimmers or you can dive off the end of the dock where the water level is about 7 feet deep. The dock us u-shaped with a 15’ wide boat slip with a swim ladder, and in a protected Harbour of the lake. If there is a WEDDING in your future, this may be the ideal intimate location you are looking for.
